Yes, a 50% retainer is due at the time of booking. This ensures that I am available to you on the day and time that you have selected. I will not book with another client during that time if a deposit is secured.

I totally get that life happens and things come up that are out of our control. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session then please provide a 48-hour notice before your scheduled session date. If you need to reschedule, I allow one reschedule at no additional charge. But, if after the rescheduled date, you need to reschedule again then you will need to pay an additional 50% retainer in order to secure a new date. If cancellation happens then please understand that your deposit is non-refundable.

Yes, if you book a make-up artist through me there will be one with you on set for the entire duration of the session. This will be great for any adjustments or touch-ups that may be needed during your session.
-
I mainly shoot in my studio with my strobes but I can absolutely shoot on location with natural light as well if needed. Please keep in mind that travel fees may be incurred.

Your images will be sent in an online gallery for you to review and select the picture that you would like to be retouched.

Yes, each headshot session includes a select number of retouched images depending on which session you book. After that, each additional image that you would like to add to your order is an additional $100. Please keep in mind that if you are booking a fashion or branding session that retouched images are not included.

The way I like to explain it is a headshot captures you as a person, but a portrait captures who YOU are as a person. Headshots are pretty much a standard recipe in order to create similar end results and, trust me when I say this, they're not very artistic. But a portrait leaves soooo much room for flexibility and creativity to express yourself through clothing, props, and your environment. I highly recommend portraits over headshots if you're wanting to encapsulate more than just a shot of your bust area and up. If you're a chef then let’s get a shot of you in your element, if you're an attorney but want to seem more personable then let’s shoot you in your office or around the law firm, if you're an owner of a boutique then let’s capture you in your store around all of the things that make you and your business what you are! Portraits are always thinking about looking at what else is around you to help bring out the person who is in front of your camera. While headshots do a great job at this too, portraits leave room to answer more questions where headshots cannot.

I basically can shoot anything but if you take a gander at my portfolio you'll see I lean more towards Fine Art, Beauty, Fashion, and Headshots/Portraiture. My Fine Art photography is my bread and butter but I love exploring all of the different parts of photography that are out there. This includes, but is not limited to family, senior portraits, boudoir, couples sessions, etc.

See what other people are saying about Shilo Rayne Photography!
“I've worked with Shilo on a few different shoots, and it is always an incredibly positive experience. She blends humor and fun with professionalism and expertise, creating a very comfortable environment for her models. She has a clear artistic vision, but still listened to and utilized ideas or suggestions I had. If you're looking for high-quality pictures but also a great experience, I highly recommend Shilo!”
